RDS 1900 Radio Data System
El RDS1900 se ha desarrollado para la transmisión de datos inaudibles en el subcarrier de los 57 KHz, en la banda de radiodifusión sonora FM.
El sistema de RDS usa todas las funciones descritas por la EBU, la
especificaciones
EN 50067, incluso la función EON.
El codificador RDS es programable vía puerto RS 232 de la computadora.
Uno de las ventajas del sistema es la habilidad para controlarlo y programarlo remotamente por PC.
De esta manera, con la opción SAT, es posible no sólo instalar codificadores a la cabeza de la red, también en estaciones locales, y los controla desde la cabeza de la red.
